Bilt Rent Day (March 1): 200% Hilton Honors transfer bonus, fitness classes, bonus points and more

Editor’s note: This is a recurring post, regularly updated with new information. TPG founder Brian Kelly is a Bilt adviser and investor.

Good news for Bilt Rewards members: March 1 is another Bilt Rent Day.

As on previous Rent Days, you can snag double points for nonrent purchases, play the “Rent Free” game, and book Neighborhood Dining and Neighborhood Comedy experiences. Bilt is also offering a status-based transfer bonus to Hilton Honors and additional Rent Day fitness classes this month.

Here’s what you need to know about the March Bilt Rent Day promotions.

Status-based transfer bonus to Hilton Honors

You can enjoy a status-based transfer bonus to Hilton Honors this Rent Day. Normally, you can transfer Bilt Rewards Points to Hilton Honors at a 1:1 ratio. But from March 1 at 12 a.m. EST to March 2 at 2:59 a.m. EST, Bilt Blue members will get a 150% bonus and other Bilt members will get a 200% bonus.

You’ll need to be a member of the Hilton Honors program and link your Hilton account with your Bilt account before you can transfer points. Bilt Blue members must transfer at least 2,000 points; otherwise, you can transfer Bilt points in increments of 1,000.

If you need more Hilton points for an upcoming redemption, this transfer bonus might be worth utilizing. However, other Bilt transfer partners — such as World of Hyatt — usually provide more value. So, think carefully before transferring your Bilt points to Hilton Honors, even during this transfer bonus.

Bilt Neighborhood Cafe in New York City

Bilt opened a Neighborhood Cafe at 31 Bond Street in New York City’s NoHo neighborhood in late January. To celebrate March Rent Day, the first 1,000 members to visit the cafe on March 1 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. and show their membership in the Bilt app will get a complimentary black coffee (hot or iced) and a mini cinnamon roll from Chloe.

Extra Bilt points on nonrent purchases

  • Dining: 6 points per dollar spent
  • Travel: 4 points per dollar spent
  • Other purchases (excluding rent): 2 points per dollar spent
  • Rent: 1 point per dollar spent (up to 100,000 points in a calendar year)

‘Rent Free’ game

In August 2023, Bilt launched a new way to win free rent for a month (up to $2,500): the “Rent Free” game show. Bilt has since offered the “Rent Free” game show each Rent Day, with a new creator or personality playing each month. This month, the guest is TPG founder Brian Kelly. Brian just published a book, “How to Win at Travel,” which you can buy through the Bilt Collection using points or cash this Rent Day.

You’ll earn points when you pick a top-three answer, when you correctly rank that answer and when the celebrity guest picks the same answer as you. You can visit the Bilt app to play the game between Feb. 25 at noon EST and March 1 at 3 p.m. EST. Then, return to the app after March 1 at 4 p.m. EST to see your score.

The 10 top-scoring players will win free rent for a month (up to $2,500), and the next 500 top-scoring members will earn Bilt points. If you tie with another Bilt member, the tie will be broken based on who played the game first.
